The Shropshire Junior cross country Championships took place at Attingham Park on a very mild January morning. The course was quite challenging for all runners. Congratulations to Iris (3rd) and Darcy (6th) and Isobel (6th) for your County selection. I am also pleased to say that both the Shrewsbury AC U13 team, Iris, Chloe, Kitty, Evie and Ava finished in 3rd place as did the U15 girls team, Ruby, Emily, Georgia and Kaitlyn who also finished in 3rd place, so a big well done to you all.
Well done to the boys who competed, we were down on numbers due to school teams but our younger U13's Alfie and Alex showed some grit and determination to finish the long course and thanks to Tomas who gave us enough for a team (Jack and Harry ran for the Priory team which finished in 3rd place, so well done boys).
A special thanks go to the U15 boys who put a team out for this event and to Theo (U17) who did really well on such a long tough course.
