Shrewsbury AC take part in the Shropshire Young Athletes Cross Country League.

Update for 2015/2016 Autumn and Winter Training and Cross Country Fixtures.

Information for all Athletes and Parents

Training The last summer training session on Mondays will be 17th August.   I am away on 24th August and the following week is Bank Holiday so the track will be closed.  Wednesday sessions continue as normal starting at 5-45 finishing at 6-30.

September starts the autumn and winter season of mainly cross country conditioning and endurance.

Shropshire Athletes Cross Young Country League

The League is  good introduction to cross country and builds up to County Championships in January and Midland and National Championships in February.  Plus selection to school and County teams.  Age range is from Under 11′s to Under 17′s.  The dates and venues are listed below.

27th September Oswestry. Oswestry School Playing Fields

11th October  Bridgnorth Oldbury Wells School Fields

8th November  Muck Wenlock William Brookes School

6th December  Packwood Haugh School

 Can I request all athletes bring adequate clothing and fluids to each training session.  An extra hoody or warmer T shirt is required especially on the cooler evenings.  It is not necessary to train in track spikes.  In fact it is not advisable in winter.  Ordinary training shoes are preferred.  If you need any extra club kit please contact me and we can get some organised.  Club colours should be worn at all league meetings.
