Sarah Willhoit GB&NI Mountain running success

Huge congratulations to Sara Willhoit on her senior international mountain racing call-up for Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This weekend Sara swapped the Shropshire Hills for the Italian Alps at the historic Challenge Stellina, a race founded in the spirit of friendship after the war to commemorate the battle of Grange Sevine and known for strong competition.
Sara produced a fine individual performance of 6th overall at the uphill race, in so doing helping GB and NI’s women to an overall team victory ahead of the hosts and a strong American team.
A tremendous honour for Sara, in a summer that has seen her setting records on the local fell races and representing England in the mountains. Well done from all at the club.
