North Wales Cross Country Results - Bangor

05 Oct 2022
This weekend was another milestone in the calendar as our senior teams travelled to Bangor for the start of the North Wales Cross Country League.
It was a fruitful day for the club, with Jon Bowie and Sara Willhoit winning the individual Senior Men and Senior Women races and Graham Jones winning the Men Over 65.
These individual wins were supported by some excellent performances from across the team. Ben Gibson (6), Oliver Parry (7) and Gabe Morris (10) all finished in the Men's top 10, with James Stuart (21) and Thomas Brown (24) rounding out the scoring and making sure our Senior Men are clear leaders after the first fixture as we look to defend the title.
We also put out a full Women's team, with Daphne Jones (35) and Yvonne Gajny (50) completing the scorers to see us in second place in Division 2, hot on the heels of Aberystwyth Uni. This promises to be an exciting competition throughout the winter as we compete for promotion.
Thank you to everyone who travelled to Bangor to represent the club. More than any other discipline in the sport Cross Country is a team event, and without full teams every fixture we would not be contesting the title.
The next fixture will take place just over the border in Newtown on Saturday 22 October.
