Shrewsbury Athletic Club members, Grace and Pete Hough, have received a prestigious local award, the Mayor's Silver Community Award, for voluntary work with Shrewsbury Parkrun and other races across the County. Grace is also a race adjudicator for Runbritain, making sure that races across the County run smoothly and is a level 2 athletics coach and track and field official, coaching 13 to 16 year old athletes. Not content with this level of involvement in local athletics, Grace was a volunteer in the London 2012 Olympics and both she and Pete are life members of Shrewsbury Athletic Club.
