There was a great turnout from the club this weekend at our hometown race - the Shrewsbury 10k.

Large numbers of runners took to the closed streets of the town centre as the race returned to its traditional Spring date. Club runner Paul Jones, showing his solidarity with the people of Ukraine and racing in Ukrainian colours, ran strongly from the front for a great solo win in 33:28.

SAC athletes packed the rest of the top 10 behind him. Jake Milovsorov and Daniel Husbands had a great race, finishing 2nd and 3rd in 33:53 and 34:07 after running shoulder-to-shoulder for much of the race. Connor Middleton ran well for 5th place, with James Durman, Luke Butler, Rich McKenna and Matt Mckibbin in the first 10 finishers.

Naomi Cook and Jemma Brown battled well in the women's race, finishing 3rd and 4th respectively in great times of 41:12 and 41:24.
