Sarah Benson, Head of Development at England Athletics has this to say about about the Shrewsbury AC Athletics Festival.
''I rarely post on LinkedIn about my own children and their involvement in sport, but this event is worth showcasing.
This was a pilot festival hosted by #ShrewsburyAthleticsClub, supported by #EnglandAthletics, aiming to introduce children to an adapted and inclusive version of athletics. We had the best day out with music, food, loads of activities to do between events. My children came away buzzing having made new friends, tried something new and asking when the next event was! This was everything kids' sport at grassroots level should be about.
Congratulations to everyone involved, and special thanks to all the volunteers who helped make such a fantastic fun day for all the children.''
