Shrewsbury Athletic Club's Men's and Women's Cross Country teams have done the double for the second consecutive year, finishing County Champions at the Shropshire County Cross Country Championships at Oswestry on Saturday. With strong turnouts in both squads, the Men's team stormed to victory, with their six team scorers finishing in the first 11, led home by Matt Hall in 2^nd place, with Jim Hickinbottom 3^rd, Matthew Costello 5^th, Paul Jones 7^th, Pete Middleton 9^th and Jake Milovsorov 11^th.The victorious Womens' team, whose three team scorers finished in the top 7, were led home by Great Britain International Sara Willhoit in 2^nd place, with Lauren Morley 6^th and Emily Sanders 7^th.The Mens' Veteran team of Paul Jones 1st, Richard Mckenna 2^nd and Paul Bowes 5^th finished 1^st Veteran Team.

Women: 2 Sara Willhoit 22/33, 6 Lauren Morley 24/53, 7 Emily Sanders 25/08, 9 Jemma Brown 25/38, 10 Naomi Cook 25/55.

There was also success for the Club's Juniors, with the Under 13 Boys finishing first team, comprising Jack Kinrade 1^st, Adam Bentham 2^nd and Freddie Allwood 5^th and the Under 13 Girls finishing 2^nd team and comprising Bethany Trow 2^nd, Lucy Newall 6^th and Katie Jones 14^th. Jude Lins finished 3^rd in the Under 15 Boys race in 16/54 and Joe Gilling 4^th in the Under 17 Boys race in 18/00.
