Shrewsbury Athletic Club runners have competed in the latest Telford Sexarathon Series event, the Ironbridge 4 Mile Race, where James Hickinbottom's recent rise in form resulted in his leading the side home for the first time, in 8^th place, overhauling clubmates Adam Roberts 12^th, Matt Hall 13^th and Gabe Morris 14^th. Pete Savill continued his quest for another Veteran Over 60 crown, with 1st Over 60 on the night and leading the category after four races. There were successes in the Womens' Race, with Sara Willhoit 3^rd Lady and 1^st Senior Lady and Jacqueline Macey 4^th Lady Over 35, both leading in their respective categories after four races.

On the fell running scene, Callum Mitchelmore's outstanding form continued, with 2^nd place in the Pontesbury Fell Race, the fifth event in the Shropshire Summer Fell Series, ahead of Gabe Morris 14^th and Matt Hall 16^th. He was also 1^st Male Under 16. There were successes for club captain Graham Jones, 1^st Veteran Over 60, Haydn Jones, 1^st Veteran Over 55 and Harry Duffy, 1^st Male Under 18.

The Club's ultra marathon specialist, Michael Betts was on his travels again, competing in the North Face Lavaredo Ultra Trail Race, a 119Km course in the Italian Dolomite mountains, where the one thousand international runners were guided from their evening start and into the night from the town of Cortina, through the early stages of the race by hundreds of headlamps, with the intrepid Shrewsbury runner completing the course in 267^th place in 20 hours and 44 minutes.

Despite being on the same night as the Ironbridge 4, the Club was still able to send two teams to compete in the Shugborough Relays in Staffordshire, with the Yeasty Boys team of Dan Smith, 13/00, Connor Middleton 13/13, Patrick McBride 13/23 and Steve Waters 13/29 finishing 6^th in the Male Open Team category and the Fast Pleasant Pheasant Pluckers team of Luke Butler 13/02, Tim Smith 14/13, Duncan Rose 15/31 and Pete Butler 17/05 finishing 3^rd in the Male Super Vet category.
