Seventeen runners from Shrewsbury Athletic Club competed in the Telford 10K on Sunday, where they produced an unprecedented eleven personal best times on the fast course, described as one of the hottest 10K races of the year. With a record entry of over 1200 runners and in one of the most competitive fields to date , Matt Hall led the squad home appropriately with a personal best time in 100th place, with Richard Mckenna 185th and Jamie Lambie 207th, both with personal bests. A further eight personal bests were achieved by Steve Waters, Connor Middleton, Nick Bradley, Jake Milovsorov, Stewart Farley, Sara Willhoit, Simon Cole, and Michael Inpong, Pete Savill was 2nd Veteran Over 65, Kevin Francis 5th Veteran Over 50 and Chris Wakeman 8th Veteran Over 60. In the Womens' race, Sara Willhoit finished 28th and Jenna Middleton 98th.

On the fell running scene, the second and third fixtures of the Shropshire Winter Fell Series have taken place, with the staging of the Wrekin Wrecker and Cardington Cracker Races. Michael Betts led the side home in the Wrekin Wrecker in 10th place in 1/03/19, with Scott Hall 11th in 1/03/31, Connor Middleton 32nd in 1/11/18, Andy Birch 41st in 1/12/42 and Gill Evans 139th and 2nd Lady Veteran Over 50 in 1/33/15. In the Cardington Cracker, Connor Middleton finished 29th in 1/29/56, Kevin Francis 31st and 2nd Veteran Over 50 in 1/31/51 and Gill Evans 194th and 3rd Lady Veteran Over 55 in 2/03/49.
Away from the County, Colin Perry ran a personal best time in the Conwy Half Marathon finishing 79th in 1/27/41 and Richard Jones was 1st Veteran Over 55 in the Aberystwyth 10K in 39/25.
