Shrewsbury Athletic Club runners have represented Shropshire as part of teams which competed successfully in the Meerbrook 15K Race, a tough course with 1200 feet of ascent on the Staffordshire Moorlands, with Paul Jones 2nd and 1st Veteran Over 45 in 56/18 and Richard Mckenna 14th in 59/54, both part of the Men's Team which won the Men's Team event. Lauren Morley finished 56th and 9th Lady in 68/55 and Jemma Brown 83rd and 17th Lady in 71/50, both part of the Women's Team which were runners up in the Women's Team event.
Jamie Lambie's season goes from strength to strength, leading the Club side home once again in the Ironbridge 4 Mile Race, the fourth fixture in the Telford Sexarathon Series, in 7th place in 21/51. There were age category successes for Pete Savill, 1st Veteran Over 65, Kevin Francis, 2nd Veteran Over 50 and Haydn Jones, 2nd Veteran Over 55. Naomi Cook improved to 12th place in the Women's Race.

In other road races, Richard Mckenna finished 2nd and 2nd Veteran Over 40 in 35/16 in the Barmouth 10K Race, with Pete Hughes 11th in 40/06, Pete Savill competed in the British Masters 5K Road Championships at the Horwich 5K, finishing 6th in the Over 65 category in 76th place overall in 19/49, Connor Middleton finished 122nd in 1/26/26 in the Swansea Half Marathon in a field of over 4600 runners, with Richard Jones 239th in 1/31/52 and Colin Perry finished 71st in 1/27/16 in the Derby Half Marathon in a field of over 2300 runners, his fourth half marathon of 2019 in addition to the London Marathon.
Away from the road running scene, Carl Aveyard finished 4th and 2nd Veteran Over 35 in 1/47/39 in the Offa's Dyke 15 Mile Race, with Kevin Francis 14th and 4th Veteran Over 45 in 1/58/38, Carl Aveyard was 6th in 23/21 in the Mynydd Myfyr Hill Race , with Graham Jones 17th and 1st Veteran Over 60 in 25/39 and in the Trail Marathon Wales Half Marathon in the Coed y Brenin forest in the Snowdonia National Park, Graham Jones finished 19th and 1st Veteran Over 60 in 1/46/36, Chris Hedley 155th in 2/18/29, Graham Parton 163rd in 2/19/27 and Duncan Rose 299th in 2/40/13. In the Sheinton Steeplechase, Pete Savill finished 27th and 1st Veteran Over 65 in 23/58, Steve Turk 29th in 24/14, Daphne Jones 47th and 1st Under 17 Girl in 26/36 and Gill Evans 85th and 2nd Lady Veteran Over 55 in 29/54.
