Shrewsbury Athletic Club teams have excelled at the Midland Six Stage Relays at Sutton Park, Birmingham. Despite the absence of a few key runners through injury, there was a podium finish for the Masters' Team, finishing 3rd out of twenty teams in a time of 2/03/44, the team comprising Paul Jones 19/29, Richard Mckenna 20/12, Carl Aveyard 20/48, Robert Fox 20/40, Stewart Farley 21/55 and Jim Hickinbottom 20/40, each leg 5.88Km. The Senior Mens' Team finished 51st out of 104 teams in a time of 2/11/50 and comprised Jake Milovsorov 21/39, Dan Elliot 20/31, Antonio Gasparinho 22/04, Graham Jones 22/55, Matt Wooden 23/29 and Steve Waters 21/12. Paul Jones ran the third fastest leg time of the whole event.
In the Severn Bridges 10K Race, there was a podium place in the Mens' Race for Nick Bradley who finished 3rd in 36/31, with Martin Hargreaves 7th and 1st Veteran Over 55 in 40/22, Colin Perry 10th in 41/42 and Pete Savill 25th and 1st Veteran Over 65 in 43/23. In the Womens' Race podium places went to Jemma Brown 1st in 43/05 and Naomi Cook 3rd in 43/38. In the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon, there was a personal best time and age category victory for Paul Jones who finished 11th and 1st Veteran Over 45 in 1/11/06, with Robert Fox 44th in a personal best time 1/17/21 and Thomas Richards 84th in his debut race for the Club in a personal best time of 1/23/12. Lauren Morley finished 20th in the Womens' Race and 7th Senior Woman in 1/29/44. Colin Perry clocked 2/31/49 in the Draycote Water 20 Mile Race in Warwickshire, finishing in 38th place.
There was double success in the multi terrain Tibberton Trot 10K Race for Richard Mckenna, 2nd and 1st Veteran Over 40 in 35/18 and Gabe Morris 4th and 1st Veteran Over 35 in a season's best time of 35/44.
