There was a record turnout of Shrewsbury Athletic Club runners for the London Marathon, with the twelve Club participants producing fine individual performances and a number of personal best times, impressively lead home by Paul Jones in 2/33/36, a personal best time and 3rd Male Veteran Over 45 in the race, with James Hickinbottom 2/40/51(personal best), Luke Butler 2/50/14(personal best), Kevin Francis 3/05/00, Gabe Morris 3/08/06, Jacqueline Macey 3/20/20, Phil Evans 3/30/02, Darren Mitchelmore 3/31/02, Pete Butler 3/36/17, Alan Dean 3/38/57, Pete Savill 4/35/18 and Mike Thomas 4/44/44. Kevin Francis(Veteran Over 50), Jacquueline Macey(Lady Veteran Over 40) and Pete Butler(Veteran Over 60) achieved Good for Age performances.
Following another victorious cross country season, Shrewsbury Athletic Club runners turned out in numbers for the Lilleshall 5 Mile Race, the first fixture in the Telford Sexarathon Series. Luke Butler used his new role as Captain to lead the squad from the front, finishing 13th, with Neil O' Hanlon 19th and Kevin Francis 31st. There were age category successes for Kevin Francis, 1st Veteran Over 50, Pete Savill, 1st Veteran Over 60 and Neil O 'Hanlon 2nd Veteran Over 40. Jacqueline Macey was 6th Lady and 3rd Lady Veteran Over 40.

There was success once again for Lauren Morley in the Chocoholics 5K Race at Newtown, first Lady in 19/52, a personal best time by 24 seconds, making it three victories and three personal best times in a row and five victories in the last seven races. In the Mens' race, Richard Jones finished 10th in 18/58 and 1st Veteran Over 50 and Haydn Jones finished 20th in 20/13 and 1st Veteran Over 55. Grace Hough was 101st in 33/01 and 3rd Lady Veteran Over 65.
Paul Jones had a podium finish in the Essar Spring 5 Mile race, finishing 2nd in 26/28.
