A strong turnout of Shrewsbury Athletic Club runners were among 1700 runners who competed in the recent Four Villages Half Marathon on a course through the Cheshire countryside, where some impressive performances resulted in victory for the Mens' team and five personal best times. The victorious Mens' team were led home by Jim Hickinbottom in 6th place, with Jamie Lambie 11th, Paul Jones 16th and Paul Bowes 104th completing the team scorers. Personal best times went to Jim Hickinbottom, Jamie Lambie, Paul Bowes, Jason Mcmanus and Matt Wooden and Paul Jones was 3rd in the Veteran Over 45 category. The Club's Great Britain International Sara Willhoit finished 5th in the Womens' Race with Club colleague Lauren Morley 38th.

At the North Wales Cross Country Championships at Northrop, Robert Fox finished 8th and 1st Veteran Over 35 in the Senior Mens' race in 37/48, putting him on the reserve list for selection for the Inter Counties Cross Country Championships and Graham Jones finished 2nd in the Over 65 race in 32/29. At the Midland Cross Country Championships at Loughborough, Matt Hall finished 22nd in 39/50, Matt Wooden was 209th in 51/29 and Andy Lewis was 304th in 57/17 and 3rd in the Veteran Over 60 category in the Midland Masters Cross Country Championships run as part of the Midland Championships.
There was further success for Jamie Lambie, this time finishing 1st in the Kidsgrove 10K in 33/03 on an undulating course on parkland and road and in the Gnosall 10K, Pete Hughes finished 7th in 38/40.
