Shrewsbury Athletic Club's Paul Jones made it a double individual success by winning the Shrewsbury 10K Race on Sunday, after having won the Shrewsbury Half Marathon last month. Club colleague, Sara Willhoit finished 3rd in the Women's Race, having finished 2nd in the Half Marathon. There was a large contingent from the Club among the 2000 runners in the race which had been rescheduled after being cancelled in March because of snow.

The Vic Musgrove Fast 5K Race, the fifth fixture of the Telford Sexarathon Series, lived up to its title, with two Club runners achieving personal best times, Rob Fox spearheading the squad in 32nd place with a personal best 16/54, Steve Waters 34th in 17/00, Connor Middleton 40th in 17/16, Keith Austin 78th with a personal best 19/05 and Gill Evans 201st and 2nd Lady Veteran Over 55 in 23/49. Nick Bradley finished 4th in the Wenlock 7 Mile Race in a time of 42/37, with Alan Dean 13th in 46/03.
