There were personal best times galore for Shrewsbury Athletic Club runners in the recent Telford 10K race, where the Club's first five finishers, Brett Edwards 81st, Michael Betts 138th, Luke Butler 141st, Steve Waters 156th and Carl Aveyard 173rd all achieved their best times for the distance. Best of the personal bests went to Michael Betts, who, in a departure from his normal ultra mountain running, knocked a full five minutes off his previous 10K time from two years ago.

The Shropshire Winter Fell Series continued with the staging of the Cardington Cracker Hill Race, the third race in the Series and a challenging course of 9 miles with 2600 feet of ascent, taking in the Caer Caradoc and Lawley hills. Gabe Morris was first home for the Club in 23rd place in 1/27/31, with Zoe Barber 3rd in the Womens' race and 34th overall in 1/29/53, Darren Mitchelmore 63rd in 1/37/21 and Gill Evans 2nd Lady Veteran Over 55 and 151st overall in 1/53/38. Zoe Barber is currently 3rd Senior Lady in the Series and Gill Evans 1st Lady Veteran Over 55 after three events.
Richard Jones and Haydn Jones represented North Wales in the Welsh Inter Regional Cross Country Championships at Builth Wells, the Club colleagues finishing 68th in 36/03 and 96th in 38/23 respectively.
There was an outstanding performance from Matt Hall in the Dales Dash 10K race in Staffordshire finishing 2nd in 37/10, with Chris Wakeman 88th in 48/47.
Alan Dean was the Club's sole competitor in the Mortimer Forest Trail Race in South Shropshire, finishing 34th in 1/13/09 for the 17 kilometre course, which included 488 metres of ascent.
