Shrewsbury Athletic Club runners turned out in force for the annual Dearnford Lake Relays at Whitchurch, with the team race comprising three legs each of approximately two miles around the lake and 124 teams entered on the night. A memorable night unfolded,with the Club sending a record seven teams of three runners to compete, taking 2^nd and 4^th place in the Men's team event and 1^st and 2^nd place in the Mixed team event. Paul Jones and Matt Hall were 3^rd and 4^th fastest individual men on the night and Sara Willhoit and Lauren Morley, 3^rd and 4^th fastest individual women.

Mixed Team Results:

1^st Team: Andrew Birch 11/22, Sara Willhoit 11/58, Steve Waters 11/05. 2^nd Team: Robert Lisney 11/03, Lauren Morley 12/40, Connor Middleton 11/03.

The Club sent a strong squad to the Ironbridge 4 Mile Race, the 4^th fixture in the Telford Sexarathon Series, with Luke Butler leading the side home in 17^th place, Kevin Francis 39^th and 3^rd Veteran Over 50 and Stewart Farley 49^th. Zoe Barber had an impressive first outing in the Sexarathon Series, finishing 2^nd in the Womens' race and 1^st in the Senior Lady category. With two fixtures remaining, Kevin Francis and Pete Savill lead the Veteran Over 50 and 60 categories and Chris Wakeman is 3^rd in the Veteran Over 55 category.

Ironbridge 4 Results: 17 Luke Butler 23/53, 39 Kevin Francis 25/46(3^rd Veteran Over 50), 49 Stewart Farley 26/38, 62 Zoe Barber 27/31(2^nd Lady, 1^st Senior Lady), 67 Pete Savill 27/57(1^st Veteran Over 60), 72 Chris Wakeman 28/11(4^th Veteran Over 55), 132 Michael Thomas 30/54, 164 Pete Butler 32/29, 281 Alison Wilson 39/28(3^rd Lady Veteran Over 60).

In the Stiperstones Fell Race, the 6^th and penultimate fixture in the Shropshire Summer Fell Series, Steve Turk finished 21^st in 34/25 and 1^st Veteran Over 45 and Gill Evans finished 71^st in 42/32, 1^st Lady Veteran Over 55, maintaining her lead in the Series with one race remaining.
