Also serving as the England Athletics road 5k championships, the race is known for its strong field and fast course and we always have a good number of PBs.

First home from the club was Dan Husbands, setting a huge mark of 15:21 in his first official road 5k.

There was a category win for Paul Jones, running 15:40 for first M50, and Haydn Jones’ 18:40 saw him finish second in the M60 category. Jon Bowie also put in a strong performance, his 15:24 good enough for fifth in the M40 category and just 1 second behind his PB from 2019.

There was a PB of 17:05 for Lauren Cooper as she continues her build-up for the Berlin Marathon, and it was a pleasure to see Naomi Cook return to racing in 19:17.
