Lake Vyrnwy Half 2022 results

This weekend popular local race the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon returned after a two-year absence, now under the management of Adrenaline Sporting Events. Always a highlight of the calendar, the race is known for a fast course and scenic views and attracts some of the quickest runners in the North West.
First home from the club was Jon Bowie, producing his fastest Half Marathon since joining the club in dipping under 70 minutes in 1:09:54 for 11th place overall. Shortly behind Dan Husbands ran a brilliant debut Half of 1:11:35 for 12th place. Dan has been with the club for less than a year and has already produced some great runs over 5k and 10k, so it’s fantastic to see him continue that development through the distances.
It’s a pleasure to see Peter Middleton racing on the roads again, going well in 1:16:54, and Tom Brown is clearly enjoying life in the blue and amber colours running a PB of 1:22:57.
It’s great to see such a good turnout from the club at a landmark local race. Following on from Village Bakery the week prior we’re having a good half marathon season.
