On Tuesday night three of our Athletes competed in the North Wales endurance open at Deeside. All three Athletes competed in the 1500m races, which were seeded fastest to slowest. The weather was quite nice if not a little windy, as the track seems to have a little micro climate.

First up in the A race was Dan N. Dan’s PB heading in to this race was 4:19.5. Dan went through hitting his splits to be on target for a PB. He was able to charge down the home straight and was recorded with a PB of 4:18.90. Great stuff Dan!

Next up in the B race was Oscar A and Roni K. Oscar wanted to hit a sub 4:40 and Roni was wanted to hit a sub 4:50. Both of them were on target for these times as they hit the bell, but began to run out of gas slowly on the last lap. They still did remarkably well in a race full of older people and finished in times of 4:43.99 and 4:54.60 which were not too far away from their PBs.

All three of them did really well tonight and will probably look to close out their track seasons in style over the next few weeks.
